Feb 2017 Lake Seminole @ Spring Creek Park Resort

Big Pig Promotions’ opener of the 2017 HAWG WILD BASS TOUR season was a bit disappointing in the number of entrants, but not the quality, caliber and character of the entrants, staff or the hosts.  This is what we are building – a family of people dedicated to our sport and building a better platform for all of us to achieve our goals. We are looking for anglers who fit this criteria to be members of the HWBT.

Our promise to our anglers: We will only partner with people and sponsors who we believe to have the same vision and integrity as we do. Please trust in us to deliver the highest quality products, support and dedication to our sport.

Spring Creek Park Resort: I’ll just rewrite what’s on the newsletter, because I really couldn’t express enough the level of support we received from these fine people. This was our first encounter with these folks, first impressions are everything and I will tell you they are top shelf, salt-of-earth good people. They went over and above to help us make our event a success! They set up our site and equipment, had food and drink all day ready and available for us and our anglers(great food by the way), had clean rooms and RV spots for the guys, clean bathrooms and just the best attitude you could imagine. We can’t thank them enough for catering to us and our anglers, but we can help spread the word about this great place. It may be a little out of the way for some but it is well worth it and we will be supporting them in the future by holding our events there. If you just want a day or two away give them a try, you wont be disappointed!

Event: Near perfect weather, no snags on take off ,but fishing is fishing, and although the conditions looked like we might see some monster HAWGS weighed in, we were able to get several nice bags of bass. Our numbers were low but with the teams we do have, support is very high and we appreciate and will grow on that. We had 47 teams fish with all but 1 team weighing bass(engine problems early put them out). The team of Stevens and Brown bagged the $10,000 check with 48.45 pounds for the 2 day event and 100 points toward the Angler of the Year. We paid out $2,250 in the Big Fish side pot and $10,400 in 20 places in the quarters for a total of $22,650 for the event. We are just a few weeks away from #2 at Lake Eufaula so get your entries in now and remember, spread the word about us and your experience at the event, we are looking for new teams to join us in what will be the best series out there!

Thank you for your support
